Peyton Z. Peebles III is the founder of The Peebles Firm, a Texas law firm committed to protecting your rights in all criminal legal matters. He is a skilled lawyer whose education, training, and experience uniquely qualify him to defend individuals charged with committing crimes.
Having prosecuted numerous cases, post-conviction death penalty writs, and hundreds of appeals in misdemeanor, murder, and capital murder cases, Mr. Peebles left the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in 2007 to pursue criminal defense work. His Houston-based law practice is currently divided between trial representation and post-conviction appellate work.
Mr. Peebles is licensed to practice law in all Texas courts, the Southern District of Texas federal courts, the Fifth Circuit federal appeals court, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Peebles currently serves on the Texas state bar Committee for the Administration of the Rules of Evidence. He has appeared before the Texas legislature on criminal law matters, drafted criminal laws, and been published in Texas Lawyer magazine.
